I mean Han Li use of the Cyan Essence Sword Art at the Core Foundation level which gives arise to Phantom Clone technique (it produces an illusory sword shadow that contained a fraction of the actual sword's strength) but in the donghua they changed the sword into clones of Han Li instead which made it spectacular, well done studio, very well done

Wow they brought back Wu Jiuzhi, the thief during the Great South Meeting in season 1, maybe this time Han Li can kill him lol

Wow, is the technique core level now already? Too bad his sect thinks its a trash technique that can only be practiced to level 3...well it can go a bit past that but then you stuck on a cultivation path with no future. I forget exactly, but I think by now he has already got some of the other pages to the Cyan Essence Sword Art. I really like how they slowly develop Han Li into a sword cultivator with lots of flying swords & using them for op sword formations. He is certainly showing signs of what the future will bring already.

Well that is the thing with cultivators that possesses True spiritual roots, they can cultivate faster than people who possesses False spiritual roots, Han Li has false spiritual roots which is why he is looked down on by most people in the sect, since the higher cultivation level you are the longer you will live, if you cultivate slowly then it might mean you wont be able to reach the next cultivation level and then die, which would be a waste of one's life, so it is considered trash Let me cut and paste what I wrote a while back on the summary page for those that who doesnt know what spiritual roots does

Spiritual roots can be grouped into elements of metal, wood, water, fire, and earth

Those with False Spiritual roots it just means that they have combination of four or five elements

Been a while since I read the novel so I had to refer to the fandom, so the Cyan Essence Sword art (called Azure on fandom and novel) has a total of 13 levels

Level 1-3 Qi Condensation allows a single palm to release a sword streak about three meters long capable of contending against high-grade magic tools.

Level 4-6 Foundation Establishment allows the user to release a protective sword shield on one's body in an instant the strength is as strong as an elementary mid-grade defensive talisman, but its strength lay in the counterattack sword streak that would be released upon impact.

Level 7-9 Core Formation the user would be able to use the Sword Shadow Phantasm Technique that produces an illusion sword shadow that contained a fraction of the actual sword's strength, each additional level reached would give an an extra sword shadow, for up to 3 sword shadows at level 9

Level 10-12: Nascent Soul upon cultivating these levels, the user has met the requirements for the Aureate (Golden) Sword Formation, it allows the use of Auric (Gold) Essence and arranging sets of 36 or 72 swords for a Small and Grand Aureate Sword Formation respectively. The formation strength can easily allow one to hold off and contend against enemies an entire higher cultivation realm

Level 13: Early Deity Transformation the original sword art only went up to this final 13th level, the creator of the sword art, Qing Yuanzi ascended to the Spirit Realm. At this level the user can use the Grand Aureate Sword Formation without any strain

So as you can see with the changes in the donghua, his sword art is at the core formation level

Han Li's senior brother explanation is as follows
The Sect does not encourage disciples to train the technique past the elementary level mainly because it drains your cultivation. (this is even worse because Han Li's Spiritual Roots are impure/False Spirit Roots making his cultivation rates incredibly slow already)

In exchange for the Cultivation level draining side effects, the practitioner is stronger than same level.

Sect also doesn't have the complete form of Cyan Sword Skills. So they don't think it is trash, they just think it isn't worth training due to the Sect not having the complete record of the skill and the Cultivation level draining side effects.

However, the complete form of this skill is actually incredibly powerful as the creator of this skill actually use this skill alone to fight many many foes. Cultivators magics and magic items do counter each other, this is why you see everyone including Han Li use a variety of skills and items during Cultivator battles.

Which further surmounts how ridiculously powerful and versatile the Cyan Sword skill is for being able to fight off many types of skills and items.

We are around chapter 321 of the novel, and this is episode 41 in total, so each donghua episodes covers around 7.8 chapters, if we are going to have 52 episodes for this season, it will mean 21 + 52 which gives us 73 episodes. So 73 x 7.8 = 570 chapter plus or minus 5 chapters, while the calculations isnt 100% accurate, it gives us a rough estimate as to which arc we will be at, not the specific chapter, its worked for me on Soul Land, Doupo Cangqiong, Wanmei Shijie and Shenyi Jiu XIaojie, again this is a rough estimate based on averages

It really bugs me, since the MC already had first hand info about the enemies, why bother requesting for such small number & weak reinforcement that have cultivation levels the same or lower than the enemies and even worse is launching an all out attack when your limited forces "SENIORS "couldnt even handle 3vs1 against the enemies, and wtf bother bring those even weaker ones that just do nothing except to get injured by 1 shot and takes up our screen time:(

Although the donghua deviates slightly from the novel, Han Li thought that those who use blood sacrifices are doomed to stay at the Foundation Establishment level without any hope of reaching Core Foundation (chapter 311 for those who want to check) so he incorrectly assumed that the strength of the opposition would not be much stronger than expected

The weaker cultivators were there (in the novel anyway) to deal with lower level enemies so Han Li and his seniors can deal with the leaders of the evil sect
And in terms of viewers rating, it makes Han Li look good :) while the two arrogant weak cultivators who looked down on Han Li before gets their butt kicked

Orderings are based on whoever is accepted first as the master's disciple, it isnt based on age or how powerful the disciple is, you can have a first brother who is younger than second sister or brother purely because the first happens to be accepted earlier than the second

It is only this novel or donghua that I have ever seen someone referred to as Junior brother/sister being called senior brother/sister when their cultivation strength becomes stronger than, but whether their orders are reshuffled I cant remember and I dont recall reading any part where First Senior brother becomes second senior brother, in any case Han Li eventually leaves the Yellow Maple sect, in which he becomes attached to another sect and the ordering were not used (first, second, third) they only called whoever is stronger senior brother/sister

Naming order is based on strength/Cultivation Level, follow by who joins earlier. This applies across Masters in same Sect or among Ally Sects.
If B joins earlier than A and they share same Master, then B is Senior.

Joining sequence can be overidden by Cultivation level.
If A's Cultivation level is higher even though A joined later, A will be Senior.

If A's Cultivation Level is entire Stage higher, A will automatically be placed on same seniority as higher level Cultivators.
